Origin belongs on the product record.

Origin is product information, not a marketing story. What a traceable matcha record should carry, batch by batch.

“Japanese matcha” tells you where a product comes from at a broad level.

But we believe customers deserve to know more.

Because origin isn’t just a marketing story.

Origin is product information.

What should you know about your matcha?

When you open a tin of Suko Matcha, we want you to know what you’re drinking.

That means going beyond beautiful packaging and telling the story behind the product.

  • Where was the tea produced?
  • What region did it come from?
  • What type of tea was used?
  • When was it harvested?
  • Who processed or supplied it?
  • What batch does it belong to?

These details help create a more meaningful relationship between the customer and the product.

From “Japanese” to traceable

There is a big difference between saying “Japanese Matcha” and being able to provide a product record that says:

  • Origin: Japan
  • Production Region: [Verified region]
  • Tea Type: [Verified tea type]
  • Cultivar: [Verified cultivar]
  • Harvest: [Verified harvest information]
  • Producer / Supplier: [Verified producer]
  • Batch: [Batch number]
  • Best Before: [Date]

We don’t want to fill these fields with assumptions.

We want them to come from the people and documents behind the tea.

Why batch information matters

Tea is an agricultural product.

Agricultural products can vary from season to season and batch to batch.

Recording the relevant details allows a brand to understand exactly which product is being sold, where it came from, and which production information belongs to that batch.

For customers, this creates confidence. For brands, it creates accountability. And for producers, it gives their work a place in the story.

The Suko approach

As Suko grows, we want to make our sourcing information increasingly transparent.

Not because transparency is a trend. Because we believe the origin of a premium product should be part of the product itself.

Our packaging tells you the Suko story.

Our product record should tell you the tea’s story.

And together, they should answer a simple question: “What exactly am I drinking?”

A future where every tin has a story

Imagine scanning a QR code on your Suko tin and discovering the journey of that particular batch.

The region. The harvest. The tea. The producer. The testing information. The date it reached you.

That’s the direction we’re building toward.

Not just a matcha brand with beautiful packaging. A matcha brand where the journey behind the product is visible.

Because when something is premium, you shouldn’t have to take its story on faith. You should be able to trace it.

Suko Matcha Know your matcha. Know its origin. Know its story.
