Everyday Matcha Latte
A smooth, creamy matcha latte made for everyday sipping. This simple recipe brings together vibrant Japanese matcha and your choice of milk for a balanced cup that's easy to enjoy as part of your daily ritual.
Ingredients
- 2 g Suko Daily Matcha
- 70 ml warm water (70–75°C)
- 150–180 ml milk of your choice
- Ice (optional)
- Sweetener of choice (optional)
1. Sift 2 g of Suko Daily Matcha into a bowl or cup.
2. Add 70 ml of warm water at 70–75°C.
3. Whisk briskly in a W or M motion for 15–20 seconds until smooth and lightly frothy.
4. For a hot latte, gently warm 150–180 ml of your preferred milk and lightly froth it.
5. Pour the prepared matcha into your serving glass or cup.
6. Slowly add the warm milk and finish with a light layer of foam.
7. For an iced latte, fill a glass with ice and add chilled milk before pouring the prepared matcha over it.
8. Sweeten to taste if desired, stir gently, and enjoy your everyday matcha ritual.
Pro tip: Keep the water around 70–75°C rather than using boiling water. It helps preserve the smoother, more balanced character of the matcha.
